Take-Two with Kit and update.

Hey guys! I'm so angry that I keep saying I'll put up the doll room tour and then I NEVER DO! Unfortunetly, my friends came over and they kind of messed it the rooms up......yeah. So I;m not saying when I'm doing it because I know I won't do it on time! ;) But hopefully I do it soon.

And in other news me and one of my friends created a new show called Take-Two with Kit. It's kind of inspired from Take-Two with Phineas an Ferb from the Disney Channel. It just a fun 2 to 3 minute show that we make. We dress our dolls to look like famous singers, actors, etc. The link is at the bottom if anyone would like to check it out. New Blog Design and Other Things

Well? Who likes it? I'm planning to keep it like this for a while. It's just more elegant than my usual designs. :)

Since Picnik has closed, I've been using PicMonkey. It's a good substitute, but I need to figure out how to use all of it. The collage above is made with PicMonkey. The site is really nicely designed with fun photos like cookie cutters for the resizing button! If you want to add stickers, text, etc. to your collage, then you have to make the collage, save it and enter it in again. It's not exactly convenient, but I'll do it! ;) I had to re-size my collage and when I did it made the quality lessen. If you chose the highest quality saver then it comes out a lot better! The only disadvantage is that it has a huge file size. For people who haven't found a substitute yet, I recommend this! :)



And last thing. My doll room post should be up in the next day or two. I'm almost done cleaning it so I just need take the photo and wait FOREVER for Blogger to upload it. ;) Please stay tuned!!

Disney Store Releases!

Okay someone stop me before I spend WAY too much money on the "Brave" merchandise! I would go to the store right now, run to the "Brave" section and say: "I want that and that and that....oh and that!", but alas, with the wisdom I have (which is not much for a 12 year old girl) I'm not willing to spend TOO much money on that stuff......just a little?

Tell me this isn't one of the cutest things you've ever seen!

I only wish they gave they individual faces. :(

5 Doll Comparison! (NAKED DOLLS)

Hello people! I got my different types of dolls together and took around 30 photos. I finally got my old quilt back for photos!! Enjoy!

I have 5 different types of dolls. American Girl Dolls, Gotz, Hearts 4 Hearts Girls, Bitty Babies and Alexander Girlz. Please don't disaprove of my pros and cons. Their simply my opinion and you are free to disagree, but I honestly don't want to hear it. ;) P.S. These poor dolls have lost their dignity when they took their clothes off, so please have respect. hehe ;)

1. American Girl Dolls / Pleasant Company
Model: Kendall

Front

Back

American Girl Dolls: 18 inches

Place to buy new: AG Store or Online

Pros:

1. Hair is silky and the best quality.

2. Body is sturdy and stuffed tightly so no squishy spots.

3. Their vinyl is sturdy and not squeezeable (unless put to extreme heat).

4. If not rough housed with, their legs stay tight.

5. Beautifully and realisticly designed faces.

Cons:

1. Very expensive and over the last 3 years, AG have raised the price by 5 dollars yearly. The current (2012) price is $105.

2. If rough housed with, it is hard to re-string your dolls legs and if you want them to be done by the doll hospital it could cost you a lot.

3. Their prone to get marks on their vinyl.

P.S. Any doll made after 2011 have a longer tag and any doll that is with Pleasant Company will have one, short tag. The marks on the back of their necks vary between Pleasant Company and American Girl.

2. Gotz Little Sister
Model: Tess

Gotz Little Sisters: 181/2 inches

Places to buy new: eBay, Craig's List etc.

Pros:

1. Great quality hair.

2. Cute, Bitty Baby like face.

3. Vinyl is also very sturdy unless put to heat.

4. She is built exactly like an American Girl Doll, so it's easier for restringing etc.

5. She can fit into almost anything AG.

Cons:

1. Her body needs more stuffing so she tends to have standing problems and pigeon toes.

2. I don't know why, but she when she stands she tends to have a hunchback look.

3. She is retired so she is harder to find on the market. I got my Tess for around the cost of an AG on eBay. I suggest eBay or Craig's List.

Tags and Marks:

3. Alexander Girlz

Model: Madison

Alexander Girlz: 19 inches

Places to buy new: Costco

Pros:

1. Pretty faces.

2. She has a posable head which is good for photos.

3. Her chest is plastic so it looks more realistic with dresses and sleeveless shirts.

4. She is only around 30 dollars so if something were to happen you would have put a huge investment in her.

5. She can fit most AG shoes and shirts.

Cons:

1. Her hair is horrible quality and comes in tangles. If you plan on having this doll a while, you better have a wig on hand.

2. Her limbs can become loose very quickly so handle with care because they cannot be restrung like AG and Gotz due to her chest.

3. She does not have much stuffing in her stomach so AG pants have a tendancy to fall down.

4. Hearts 4 Hearts Girls

Model: Dell

(Her hair is usually really nice and down, but I have left her hair in french braids for a month or two so it kind of went where it wanted) :)

Hearts 4 Hearts Girls: 14 inches

Places to buy new: Target, Wal-Mart, Toys-r-Us etc.

Pros:

1. She has plastic body so she looks better in certain clothes.

2. She has the best rooted hair I've seen.

3. Gorgeous faces with perfect details.

4. Only 30 dollars per doll.

Cons:

1. She can't be re-strung.

2. She has bald spots.

So Sorry!

Ok.....this may have been the second time I've title a post with that.........that's sad. Anyway, hello followers and viewer who have stuck with me at this point! :) I'm terribly sorry for my absence. You all probably thought I was MIA or something! Blogger and Gmail have been giving me a hard time and I've been busier than I ever have been. I'm hoping to start posting regularly now so please, please have faith in me!

A few updates: My newest dolls are still Mia and Lindsey and I haven't made a purchase from AG in a few months. I think my mom, grandmother and I are going to the AG place soon and I may be getting a new doll with the money I've been saving. :)

My next post should be up in the next day or so and it will be a doll comparison post so stay tuned!! :)

I'm Alive! (and other news)

Okay, can I start off by saying I'm: so so so so so so so so so sorry!! I haven't posted since the 22nd!! I guess I took a unannounced break? Either way it's totally my fault and I hope I can back into the swing of things. I was going to tell you what I got for my birthday, correct? Well here it is!!

Lindsey and Mia!! Okay you thought I freaked when I saw Mia? You should have seen my face when I saw Lindsey's book covering the peep hole in an AG box (that I found out Mom had discreatly stolen).  Turns out my mom had Kanani, Mia and Lindsey before Christmas! She just decided what order to give me them in. I told her I thought I was getting Mia for Christmas, so she gave me Kanani. Then I told her I thought I wasn't getting a doll and she gives me two?! That's freakin' awesome. Please don't say I'm spoiled!

I have started a new Flickr account. This one is strictly for "professional" AG photography, etc, etc. My user name is *hopeless agression* but it's written in a weird font. Here's a LINK. I'll give you a preview of what's on my account.

Today is the day: 12

It's the big day! (not really) On this day, Feb. 22 I, Mickey's Girl turned 12! So I'm bored but my mom and I are seeing a movie later. Journey 2 or The Secret World of Arrietty. I can't decide.... Their quite different. Maybe I'll do a review on the one I saw.... Am I talking too much? Probably... Haven't been on here in a long time.....sorry.....

Anyway! I'm doing my party on Saturday so I'll do a present post a few days after probably.(Grr.... My mom is singing to Josh Groban....I'm not going to survive this!) I guess I don't have a lot to say. Thanks to everyone who has been following my blog even though I haven't been quite recent.

I gotta go watch Doctor Who.....excuse me! :)

New from AG!

Hey guys! I'm so sorry I've been neglecting my blog. I've been planning my birthday party next week. My dolls have been deciding their wardrobe and cleaning their rooms, so they've been off the computer lately too (probably for their own good) ;) .

Has anyone got the new email from AG? I fell in love with THIS outfit. AG, however, has gone nutzo! 68 dollars for the whole set?!?! I'm not gonna beat them up because people are buying this stuff right? Time for an eBay search! ;) You can check out all the new stuff HERE.

MEGA Garage Sale Finds!

"Oh jee" is what I thought when I woke up at 6:30am. Let's just say I never have hope of finding actual AG stuff at these places. ;) Well today was different (obviously). When I got there I saw an Our Generation Jeep and Pleasant Company Bitty Baby things. I just knew there had to be something here! I totally would have gotten the Jeep if I hadn't seen the broken top and door. Yeah. That was kind of depressing...... (Oh and just a PS to all of you who are getting excited, (which I don't suppose is many) I didn't find a doll people!)

I next I found a first edition Coconut's doghouse. I was super excited and raced over. Imagine my surprise when I found not only all the pieces that go with it were there but 2 Coconuts?!?!? I could have very easily exploded from excitement there readers! No more post from me! :)

After about 30 minutes of waiting for family, I went back over to where I found the Coconuts. Then I found Coconut's pet carrier?!?! People, don't make me blow up officially! It was only the carrier and didn't have any of the little things. Then I was really happy with my find and wanted to leave. I had to wait a few more minutes so I went back! I absolutely FREAKED! I found LINDSEY'S BAG!!!! I was really hyperventilating at that point! We finally left after I checked the area one more time. (To make sure there weren't any Lindseys!)

Here are the photos of what I got. Sorry about the bad quality they were taken with my web cam, but hooray, everyone gets to see my hair!

These are the two Coconuts. They are from 2004 I think is what I saw and they still have the magnetic mouth and they are very heavy! I have the 2006 version so mine is lighter and slightly smaller. We weighed them for comparison and these ^  weigh 0.66 and mine weighs 0.26 . Jeez these could be paperweights!

I did this for comparison. My Coconut is on the right. He's been used a lot when I was younger and you can kind of tell. He's a bit more brown and not pure white like the ones I bought. My Coco looks more like my Westie! He's a dirty fella! ;)

This is Coco's first edition doghouse! I have the second edition. Sorry, I forgot to do a comparison photo. :( It came with the doghouse, (obviously) the pillow, a doggie mat, and two food bowls. (photos below)

This the actual Lindsey's bag! I've freaking out here!

This is Coconut's pet carrier. (not sure what edition) Sorry it's a bit dark in there! ;)

 This is the luggage tag it say Coconut on the back an a place to put your address and phone number. Needless to say I won't be writing on that! :)

These little AG sized books were in Lindsey's bag. Their not from Lindsey's collection. Does anyone know if these are actual AG? They don't have AG markings anywhere.

 And these are the things that came with the dog house: The reversible doggie mat which has paws on one side an striped on the other. It's a sort of sturdy rubber. P.S. Hey? Anyone like my shirt?? ;)

I also came with two of these. My web cam doesn't focus, but it says "eat, nap, play"

 So hooray! This week was success for me and my dolls!

AG Hair Tips

!How to keep your American Girl Doll's hair perfect!

These are a few tips and tricks to keep your dolls hair in great condition!

Tip #1

Don't EVER put any products in your doll's hair! Even if you find any anti-frizz stuff, nope! Nothing! Nada! Zilch! El zippo!!!! I wouldn't put anything in my doll's hair unless recommended by THIS girl.

Tip #2

If your dolls are on display or you don't plan on using them roughly for a while, leave their hair down or in a simple style. If you leave their hair in a elaborate do or braids it will make their hair get real frizzy, real fast!

Tip #3

If you plan on having little kids over and think they may roughhouse with your dolls only pick out the ones you want them to play with and then braid their hair so they can't get it tangled or messed up.

Beauty and the Beast 3D/TinTin

OK so in a total of 3 days I've seen 2 movies! These are the movies I saw!



and



Since I've been seeing some more frequently than usual, I thought I would give a review on each! Sorry if you were hoping for an AG post! ;)

First off, let's start with "The Adventures of TinTin" !

Overall TinTin was an AMAZING movie! The animation was great so that's a plus for all you computer geeks out there! ;)

The story was cool and had lots of details added to make the movie a tad longer. ;) Snowy (the dog) was probably my favorite character. :) My parents said it was kind of slow, but honestly I didn't think it was at all! Why do I always love British movies made for America?

Second, let's take a look at "Beauty and the Beast: 3D"

I really wanted to see Beauty and the Beast because it out in theaters before I was born! In fact 9 years before I was born! :D . Compared to seeing it on TV, it looked like they touched up a few imperfects to make the picture look like it came out in 2012! Two really good scenes were definitely the ballroom dance, (duh) and towards the end of the song "Belle" when she rotates.....but you probably don't know what I'm talking about. ;)

Sorry for such a short post guys! I'm working on my really big ones! ;) I gotta let Tess use my laptop for one of her post I think. (or she just wants to check out the AG website) ;) Thanks!

Picture Problems

Ok so I really needed to get off the Christmas theme right? Well after changing everything and making a collage on Picnik, I tried to put it on my blog and this is what it said:

So like any normal person I clicked the Blogger Help Page! It said I needed to buy space! Does anyone know how to get around that? I really need to figure this out and find out why it's not working!

Disney Tag!

Greetings readers! Beast's Belle, owner of Never Grow Up: Doll Guide is doing a Disney tag so I just got home and I'm all prepared! Everyone is allowed to participate! If you want to see the official "rules" then click HERE .

I would definitely serve Gaston meat......;) . For Rapunzel I would serve cupcakes and any cheerful looking food! Entertainment.......for Gaston maybe some sort of shooting arcade? haha! Rapunzel would be baking. ;)

2. #6 (Beast) and #8 (Woody) are going to sing a duet. What is the title of the song they will sing?

Well first off let me say that there would be a major proportion issue they're! I think I would call it "Cowboy Lion, Tiger or Bear OH MY!" Wow. I didn't think the Wizard of Oz would interfere there, but you never know!

3. #2, (Eugene) #4, (Belle) and #9 (Mr. Prickle Pants) are on a quest. What is the purpose of their quest, and who is the leader?

Well I'd say to find Mr. Prickle Pants's suspenders, but that's a little bit of a stretch don't you think? As for the leader most definitely Eugene and Mr. Prickle Pants would fight over that! (Overall I think all Eugene needs to do is take a flame to the stuffed animal!)

4. Who would make a better librarian, #3 (Mike) or #10 (Buzz Lightyear)?

Well I think it's quite humorous to think of both of them in little librarian glasses! I'd have to say Buzz. He's more of a "stay on target" kind of guy. I do think however that I'd love to have Mike as my local librarian! ;)

5. It's the final showdown of a Disney film. #7 (Gaston) has to defeat #4 (Belle). How will he/she do it?

Oh my goodness. I'd seriously want it to be flip-flopped here! I mean that is just SO WRONG! Honestly I don't have a thought in my mind!

6. #6 (Beast) is holding a job interview. The interviewees are #9 (Mr. Prickle Pants), #3 (Mike), and #8 (Woody). What is the job they are interviewing for, and who will get the position?

I think that the job they're going for is comedian. Obviously Mr. Prickle Pants would stink at that job! It would definetely go to Mike Wasowski! I mean that dude is a riot!

7. In a sword fight between #1 (Rapunzel) and #5 (Lumiere), who would win?

Well may I say that a sword fight between those two would be AWESOME! I love both those characters, but I have to say Rapunzel considering I don't think Lumiere can hold a sword! For some reason I think it's kind of funny to see Rapunzel chop off Lumiere's wax head......I guess I'm kind of warped! XD

8. In a musical number, what sort of dance would #10 (Buzz Lightyear) perform while singing?

It would be really funny to see Buzz with a top hat and a cane doing what my friend would say, "Jazz Box style!" I think he would also sing a really bad version of "You've got a friend in me" :).

9. Who would make a better babysitter, #5 (Lumiere) or #2 (Eugene)?

Really? Two guys? If I have to, I'd say Eugene. I don't think I'd trust my children with fire! ;)

10. Once upon a time, in a faraway land, Mr. Prickle Pants dreamed of a different life than the one she/he had. Meanwhile, in another part of the land, Lumiere and Gaston were imprisoned and trying to escape. They were in the clutches of the sinister Eugene, who refused to show any mercy.


One day, Belle passed by the dungeon where  Lumiere and Gaston were held captive and heard their cries. Moved with compassion, he/she vowed to not rest until he/she had done everything in his/her power to rescue them. With that, Belle rushed off to get help.


The first people (or characters) Belle came across were Rapunzle, Beast, and Buzz Lightyear, who were involved in a street faire.  Belle told the others of the plight of Lumiere and Gaston, and they were determined to help! They decided to go to the nearest village to get the supplies they would need for such a rescue.


The nearest village was, of course, the village where Mr. Prickle Pants lived. When he/she saw the others so hard at work, Mr. Prickle Pants asked what they were doing and was told of their quest. Instantly, Mr. Prickle Pants broke into a spontaneous song, detailing that this was what he/she had been waiting for all of this time. Then Mr. Prickle Pants joined in their rescue effort.


On their way back to the dungeon, they were confronted by Woody, who had been hired by the villainous Eugene to stop them. Just when they thought all was lost, Mike Wasowski  appeared on the horizon...

He rush over to help all the recruits. He made his best jokes and made Woody laugh so hard he choked! (Sorry, Woody!) He rushed away to find some water! They all ran into the prison where Lumiere and Gaston were being kept captive by the evil Eugene!

Eugene let out a loud sinister laugh as a large cage came from above, trapping everyone.  Eugene thought that he had done enough laughing for one day and decided to go get a drink. After he left Mr. Prickle Pants was easily able to squeeze through the bars. He pressed a large red button that made the cage come up releasing everyone.Belle grabbed the keys and released Lumiere and Gaston from their doom.

Everyone celebrated and praised Mr. Prickle Pants for saving the day!

And finally Mr. Prickle Pants got what he was wishing for the whole time.......friends.


May I say that it was so fun doing this an mainly writing the end of the story! I wanted to end it all sweet and loving I guess. XD I was sort of sad that Eugene was the evil one.....but good for him! He trapped Gaston! Thanks, Beast's Belle!

Hey sorry for that! I now have internet. It turned out that it was only a button that turned it off. I just wanted to say that I will start getting back on my posts ASAP! I have about over 5 things I'm planning! I'm so excited to show you all! I have a few garage sale finds, I still have to do my what I got for christmas post, Tess's product review, Dells product review and possibly a few hair style posts. ;)

No Internet?!?

I'm so sorry everyone! I did get back from Washington D.C. Monday, but when I got back my laptop wasn't producing any internet abilities and still isn't! I'm using my dad's old computer just to tell you all this! As soon as I get my internet back I will try and get a lot of post going! Same goes for The 5 Little Bloggers. Trust me when I say that it's horrible to have 5 dolls nagging you and asking you EVERY HOUR if the internet is back!

Hey guys! I wanted to give all of you a heads-up that were leaving for Washington D.C. this afternoon and that we'l be back Monday. I am bringing Kanani and McKenna along with me so I'll be taking as many photos as my camera can take! ;) Kanani will be doing a few vacation posts on The 5 Little Bloggers when we get back. :) I hope you all have a great weekend!!

Mckenna Brooks!

Hello my faithful followers! I went to the AG store today but I didn't get photos because my camera was dead. (I think) I took a few photos of Mckenna in the car before I opened her. Sorry they may be low quality because they were taken with my iPod. ;)

I brought Lanie so she could keep Kanani occupied. (In other words, I brought Lanie to make sure Kanani didn't whine about Mckenna!)

 Here's her!! I was dying to open her!

Her outfit is adorable!

I told you it wasn't very good quality! ;)

 Her hair is really cool! What's very unique about her hair is that she has no hairline so you can part her hair anyway you want it!

I also bought these glasses. I think they look better on Kanani. ;)
